12-2016 August 30, 2016 AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE POSITION OF OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR AND ELIMINATING THE POSITIONS OF ASSISTANT TO THE MUNICIPAL MANAGER AND RECEPTIONIST/ ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLES CLERK WITHIN THE VILLAGE OF WOODLAWN AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.

WHEREAS, The health, safety, and general welfare of the citizens of Woodlawn is dependent upon the efficient and effective operations of all Village departments; and WHEREAS, It has been determined that the creation of an Office Administrator position would be beneficial for the efficient and effective management of the Village’s Administration and Finance Departments;

WHEREAS, The Office Administrator position will encompass the duties and responsibilities of the positions of Assistant to the Municipal Manager and the Receptionist/Accounts Receivables Clerk, and therefore, Council desires to eliminate those positions.

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the Village of Woodlawn, Hamilton County, Ohio, majority of all concurring: SECTION I That the position of Office Administrator is hereby established within the Village. The job description with salary range of $38,000-$45,000 per year is attached hereto as Exhibit A is hereby adopted and approved by Council.

SECTION II The positions of Assistant to the Municipal Manager and Receptionist/Account Receivable Clerk are hereby abolished.

SECTION III This ordinance is an emergency measure necessary for the preservation of public peace, health, safety and general welfare for the citizens of the Village of Woodlawn, Ohio, and shall go into effect immediately. The reason for said emergency is the immediate need to structure the Village’s Finance and Administration Departments in a manner that provides the highest level of efficiency and productivity.
