39-2016 October 25, 2016 RESOLUTION SUPPORTING THE WEST FORK MILL CREEK TRIBUTARY RIPARIAN CORRIDOR CONNECTION PROJECT IN THE VILLAGE OF WOODLAWN AND AUTHORIZING THE VILLAGE MANAGER TO SUBMIT AN APPLICATION FOR CLEAN OHIO FUNDS GREEN SPACE CONSERVATION PROGRAM THROUGH THE NATURAL RESOURCES ASSISTANCE COUNCIL

WHEREAS, the Village of Woodlawn supports the preservation of its waterways and riparian corridors, the improvement of its recreational assets, and enhancement of the aesthetics and safety of its public open spaces; and

WHEREAS, the Village is committed to implementing projects, policies, and practices to support the same; and WHEREAS, the Village desires to submit a grant application to the Clean Ohio Green Space Conservation Program to remove invasive species and plant native vegetation in the riparian corridor while also addressing erosion problems along the West Fork Mill Creek;

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the Village of Woodlawn, Hamilton County, Ohio, majority of all concurring:

SECTION I That the Village Manager is hereby authorized to submit an application for Clean Ohio Funds through the District 2 Natural Resources Assistance Council for funds for the restoration and enhancement of the West Fork Mill Creek and its tributaries.

SECTION II That the Village of Woodlawn supports this effort, as it is consistent with the Village’s long range plans.

SECTION III That the Village Manager is authorized to enter into and execute any agreements that may be necessary and appropriate for obtaining this financial assistance.
