We appreciate you taking the first step towards becoming a police officer with the Woodlawn Police Division. To wear the uniform of a Woodlawn Police officer is a meaningful achievement and demonstrates a person’s enthusiasm to “Accept the Task” of making this community a better place to live, work and play

Each day brings new occasions for us to make a transformation in how we serve our community in order to improve relationships with the community and improve the quality of life for everyone living, working, and traveling through our community.

The attached document contains a description of the hiring process and standards of employment for the Woodlawn Police Division. Our standards are very high and the process is lengthy, but the results produce a pool of candidates of the highest quality who are able to reliably achieve the duties and responsibilities of a police officer for the Village of Woodlawn.
