Brush Pickup Service

Residents, please be mindful of the rules related to brush pickup:

Brush will be picked up twice a month only during the months March through October.  Limbs and brush ARE NOT to be placed out for collection November, December, January or February.

‚ Limbs should be laid out in an orderly manner with all limbs positioned perpendicular to the street with the cut ends facing the same direction.

ƒ No stumps or root balls will be accepted.

„ Limbs resulting from a private contractor doing tree work will not be accepted.

… Absolutely no foreign materials can be mixed with the brush. It damages equipment and hurts employees!  If such materials are observed, the brush will not be collected.

† Brush should not be placed near a parked car or a fire hydrant or in any location that might block visibility within the rights-of-way.

‡ Brush may not be placed in the street or on a sidewalk.

ˆ The collection of brush materials at any single address cannot take any longer than 15 minutes to collect.  If the quantity of brush at any single address would take longer than 15 minutes, the occupant of the address must arrange for a private contractor to haul the materials away.

‰ Twigs will not be picked up.  They are considered yard waste and should be commingled with household waste and set out with the regular garbage pickup by Rumpke on Fridays.

PLEASE REMEMBER:

Brush materials are collected as a service to our residents – and we ask that this service not be abused!  Many times we are collecting limbs, tree trunks and tree stumps that are of an unreasonable size and weight.  Oftentimes we are collecting materials that were placed at the curb by a private contractor.  This practice is not permissible!  Contractors are responsible for hauling away all remnants of the trees and stumps they take down.

Much needed repairs to this street will begin during the month of September.

NEW Code Red System!
For the benefit of our residents and businesses…

The Village of Woodlawn has instituted the CodeRED Emergency Notification System – an ultra high-speed telephone communication service for emergency notifications.  This system has the capacity to telephone all or just portions of Woodlawn in case of an emergency situation that requires immediate action.  These might include such things as chemical spills, gas leaks, evacuation notices, street closures, missing persons, etc.

No one should automatically assume his or her phone number is included.  Woodlawn urges all individuals and businesses in Woodlawn to enroll by clicking the link below. Those without internet access may visit the Woodlawn Community Center and use a computer in the Woodlawn Mobile Computer Center, or call the Woodlawn Administrative Office at 513-771-6130 to supply their information over the phone.  Since delivery of the notifications is geographically based, street addresses are required to register phone numbers. The information you provide will be used solely for the purposes of emergency notification.

Please click here to Enroll in CodeRED.
