The Woodlawn Building Department exists to help residents
and businesses maintain the value of homes, businesses and
other structures in the Village. Building Permits
uphold Woodlawn Zoning Ordinances and help to
prevent substandard and deteriorating conditions.
Each requirement exists to protect the public health,
safety and welfare. Set by the State of Ohio Board
of Building Standards (OBBS), building codes are approved
standards of construction that have been developed over
many years. A Woodlawn Building Permit allows
Village zoning regulations to be maintained and enforced
by Building, Zoning and Fire Safety Officials.

WHEN DO I NEED A PERMIT?
IMPORTANT !!!
A permit must be obtained
before any work is started. Work begun without a
permit will double in cost, and may result in stopping and
removing
the project.
