Purpose: Levy
of Tax -
To provide funds
for general Municipal operations, maintenance, new
equipment, extension and enlargement of municipal
services and facilities and capital improvements of the
Village, a tax is levied on all salaries, wages,
commissions and other compensation and on net profits.

Q.
Who has to file a Woodlawn Tax Return?
A. All residents of the Village 18 years of
age or older are required to file a Woodlawn tax return
even if no tax is due.
Q. I work in
Cincinnati; do I have to pay tax to Woodlawn?
A. If your Cincinnati employer has withheld all
of the 2.1% tax, or you pay tax directly to Cincinnati,
no additional tax is due to the Village of Woodlawn.
However, you still need to file a tax return with the
Village Tax Administrator.
Q. I work in
Evendale and pay their tax; do I owe taxes to Woodlawn?
A. Yes. If Evendale or other surrounding
cities have a tax rate less than the 2% Woodlawn
Tax , the difference must be paid to Woodlawn.
Q. Should I file a
Woodlawn Tax Return, even though I am retired?
A. Yes all residents 18 years of age or older
must file a return, regardless of their income.
Q. I cannot pay the
tax I owe. What should I do?
A. If you cannot pay all of your taxes by the
filing deadline, we recommend that you pay as much as
you can and make arrangements with the tax office to pay
the balance due.
Q. I only lived in
the Village for part of the year; do I need to file a
return?
A. Yes. You must file on the portion of
income that you earned while you were a resident.
The Tax Administrator's hours are Monday through Friday
