Springfield
Pike ROAD Project to start
The long-awaited Springfield Pike
Road Improvement Project is scheduled to start the week of January 11th,
2010.
Any work requiring the closure of
lanes will be done between the hours of 7 PM and 5 AM to minimize traffic
problems. 2-way traffic will be
maintained during the day. Access to our businesses will be maintained at all
times. Temporary plating will be placed over trenches and this is expected to
slow traffic through the area.
Please make note of these issues and plan according to your particular
driving needs. We apologize for the
inconvenience while these much-needed repairs are made. The final result will
be worth it!
Springfield Pike road
improvements, from Riddle Road
south to the corporation line with Wyoming will include
the following items:
- Pavement
planning to remove existing asphalt surface- Repair/replace
deteriorated base - Replace
deteriorated curb - Construct
concrete pads at bus stops to prevent rutting - Miscellaneous
storm sewer repair - Provide
new asphalt leveling and surface course - Provide
maintenance of traffic to allow 2 lanes to be open during off-peak construction periods
and single lane extended closures for placement of the concrete bus pads
Woodlawn
Road Condition Survey
The Woodlawn Master Plan
recommended that the Village conduct a systematic survey of roadway conditions
for use in capital improvement planning.
That task has been completed and will serve as a guide for decision-making
on future road projects. The results of
that survey can be viewed by clicking:
