Aaron L. Tillman III, CLEE
Chief of Police
Chief Aaron L. Tillman III, CLEE has been a member of the Woodlawn Police Division since October 1995. In October of 2000, Chief Tillman III, CLEE became a resident of the Village of Woodlawn raising his family in the same community that he has served and protected for over twenty years as a Woodlawn Police Officer.
Chief Tillman III, CLEE has served in several duty assignments that range from undercover investigations, internal affairs investigator, community policing officer, bike patrol officer and Taser Instructor. ChiefTillman III, CLEE was the police division first police canine handler in the police division history.
Chief Tillman III, was promoted to Sergeant in 2000, and later promoted to Lieutenant in 2013, and served as the acting chief of police in 2013. Chief Tillman III, CLEE was appointed to his current position as Chief on April 26, 2016, and is currently the operations commander of the police division, supervising the overall police operations, overseeing the investigation section, road patrol and the special operations of the tactical response team.
Before joining the Woodlawn Police Division, Chief Tillman III, CLEE worked for the Glendale Police Department (Ohio). Before working for Glendale, Chief Tillman III, CLEE started his Police career with the Milford Police Department (Ohio) in 1991.
Chief Tillman III, CLEE, is a graduate of the Police Executive Leadership College PELC class of 61 and a graduate of CLEE Certified Law Enforcement Executive Class XX (Ohio).
Chief Tillman is also a graduate of the prestigious FBI National Academy Session #267. Chief Tillman III, CLEE, is on the Executive Board of the Hamilton County Association of Chief of Police, where he has served as secretary, treasurer, vice-president, and president.
