Applicants must be at least 21 years of age, possess a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid Ohio driver’s license and a current Peace Officer certification issued by the Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy (OPOTA).
This is a full-time position requiring knowledge of criminal law, investigation methods, and crime prevention tactics. Applicants must be able to comprehend and react to oral instructions and possess the physical ability necessary to apprehend suspects, critical thinking and interacting with a diverse population.
Candidates selected to continue in the process will be required to successfully complete the following: PRADCO online assessment, an extensive interviewing process, in-depth background check including a polygraph, comprehensive medical and psychological assessments.
Prior criminal convictions may bar employment.
