Project Details

Harmony Park is an innovative project in the heart of Woodlawn across the street from the Municipal Building. This outdoor facility blends natural beauty, unique interactive musical playground instruments, and performance art. The instruments are free-standing, durable, and sustainable. The park will contain xylophones, cymbals, drums, chimes, and bells. The Village worked with Woodlawn’s CIC and CT Consultants, our engineering firm, to create a destination for children and adults alike. In December 2022, the Ford Development Corporation submitted a winning bid of $173,809.00 to construct Phase 1.

Harmony Park Update

Ford Development will begin construction on May 15, 2023. A groundbreaking ceremony will be held on Friday, May 12, 2023. The Ohio Public Works Commission has given its blessing stating that they see no conflict with the recorded deed restrictions or the spirit of the Clean Ohio Conservation program. Please note that there could be some unexpected delays in the project start date due to the weather. The project is estimated to be completed in July 2023, barring unforeseen circumstances.

What Should I Expect?

Construction barrels will be placed on the side of the road beginning Monday, May 15, 2023. During construction, traffic will be restricted to one lane on Woodlawn Blvd; however, there will still be access to Mayview Forest for local traffic. Flaggers will be present to direct traffic as needed during construction. Please use caution when driving through work zones.
